Day-wise itinerary
DAY 01
Arrive in Darjeeling
Our representative meets you on arrival and transfers you to your hotel. Evening on the Chowrasta mall.
DAY 02
Tiger Hill sunrise
Sunrise over Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill, Ghoom monastery and Batasia Loop.
DAY 03
Tea and toy train
Happy Valley tea estate, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and a joy ride on the toy train (subject to tickets).
DAY 04
Darjeeling to Gangtok
After breakfast, travel by road to Gangtok (about 2 hours). Check in and relax. Evening idea: Evening on MG Marg.
DAY 05
Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (permits required; Nathula at own cost).
DAY 06
Gangtok sightseeing
Enchey and Rumtek monasteries, Do Drul Chorten and the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology.
DAY 07
Gangtok to Kalimpong
After breakfast, travel by road to Kalimpong (about 1 hour). Check in and relax. Afternoon sightseeing: Deolo Hill, Durpin monastery and the cactus nurseries. Evening at the hill-top resort.
DAY 08
Depart Kalimpong
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
